Overview
Bernoulli enables clinicians to detect incremental
changes in a patient’s condition over time, using the
patient’s real-time values. Alarms triggered by a
device can be configured to notify appropriate
clinicians of specific patient changes. Multiple alerts
detailing the patient name, room number, and alarm
details can be sent to pagers, IP phones, or similar
wireless communication devices. The goal with real-time
notification is to shorten response time.
If a patient has a cardiac or respiratory event,
specially trained team members can be quickly deployed
to the patient bedside. In addition, Bernoulli’s
reporting capabilities eliminate the exhausting
documentation traditionally required to realize patterns
when a patient’s condition changes.
An Open Platform
Since hospitals are multi-vendor environments,
institutions choose the Bernoulli Solution because it is
an open platform designed to work with different vendors’
devices, for the benefit of the patient and the hospital
staff. Bernoulli utilizes existing hospital IT
infrastructure and augments existing Hospital ADT
Systems as well as Electronic Medical Record systems by
populating patient flow sheets with real-time device
data.
