Overview
Bernoulli® Ventilator Management consists of continuous
central station monitoring and remote surveillance of
most critical care and home care ventilators. While the
bedside ventilator alarm should always be considered
primary, now, instantaneous central station monitoring
of ventilator alarms, settings, and patient values is
achievable. Alarm data can also be delivered remotely, enabling a designated
clinician to respond to a situation quickly. Bernoulli®
documents and stores routine ventilator status checks,
mandated by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Bernoulli® is
web-based, and uses wireless technology to interface
with all ventilators that have RS-232, Ethernet, or
nurse call.
Software Features Include:
- Multiple Device Connectivity
- Compatible with most ventilators
- Bernoulli can monitor the hospital’s entire
ventilator fleet
- Central Station and Remote monitoring
Monitoring can be done at a
central nurse’s station or via web page from
anywhere on the hospital intranet
- Remote Alarm Notification
Bernoulli can notify a clinician of alarm
occurrence, alarm type and patient ID. Alarm
notification can be customized as to which alarms
are sent for remote notification.
- Smart Alarms
Options can be set for alarm
parameters not available on a specific ventilator
being monitored
- Automated Vent Checks and Reporting
Automatic or on-demand recording
of parameter settings, monitored values and alarm
settings.
- Log of Events Reporting
Bernoulli records every event
transmitted by the device.
- Trend Reporting
Trend any numeric parameter
transmitted by the ventilator.
